Monterey, CA · No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Your first week is free. Bring nothing but nerves.
A full free week of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Monterey — any class you’re eligible for, from kids 3–14 to adults who’ve never trained a day. Kids can try our Tuesday/Thursday Kickboxing on the same free week. No commitment, nothing to buy for the free week.
First, one question
Who’s the free week for?
Pick one — it just sets which class we start you in.

What the free week gets you
A real week, not a single trial class.
Some gyms call one drop-in a “trial.” Here, free week means a full seven days — come as many times as you can:
-
Any class you’re eligible for — Jiu-Jitsu or Kids Kickboxing.
No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu for kids 3–14, teens, and adults, plus Kids Kickboxing on Tuesdays and Thursdays for ages 5–14 — the whole week, train as often as you like.
-
No commitment to start.
You don’t sign anything to take the free week. If it’s not for you, you walk away owing nothing.
-
No gear or uniform fee for the free week.
Adults train No-Gi, so there’s no uniform to buy and nothing to outgrow. You don’t spend a dollar to walk in the door.
-
The amenities, too.
Sauna, cold plunge, conditioning room, and a parent lobby where you can stay and watch every class your kid takes.
The free week covers any class you’re eligible for — No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu for kids, teens & adults, plus Kids Kickboxing on Tuesdays and Thursdays — so you can find the right fit before you commit to anything.
Three steps, about five minutes
Starting is easier than the months you spent thinking about it.
One member told us he’d “always wanted to do it” — then finally just called and went for it. Here’s the whole path from where you are now to standing on the mat:
-
01
Claim your week.
Leave your name, email, and number below, or call. The AOE team follows up personally — usually within a few hours — to find the class that fits.
-
02
Sign the waiver.
A quick standard waiver before your first class — takes a couple of minutes.
-
03
Show up and train.
Wear shorts and a t-shirt (we train No-Gi — no uniform needed). Come early, meet the coaches, and get on the mat. As one member put it: “All you have to do is walk in the door and you will understand.”
Why people stay after the free week
“You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.”
That’s a member’s line, not ours — written by someone who came in for the free week and stayed. A couple more, unedited:
-
“The sport lures you in, but the people make you really want to stay.”
— Brandon M., Monterey -
“I’ve enjoyed watching my little girl build confidence and have watched her do things I didn’t even know she was capable of.”
— Maria D., parent of a 4-year-old member
Your free week is taught by the Art of Entanglement coaches and team — a No-Gi academy with ADCC and IBJJF competition credentials, a family-run kids program, and back-to-back Best Martial Arts Academy recognition in Monterey County.
Claim it now
No reason left to keep saying “someday.”
No commitment to start. Nothing to buy for the free week. Just a week on the mats to find out if this is yours — and a quick team follow-up to set it up. Leave your name, email, and number, or call us directly.
