Jiu-Jitsu + Kickboxing Bundle
Want both? A child can train jiu-jitsu and kickboxing on one membership — for less than signing up for each on its own. One price, two nights a week of striking, and the full No-Gi week on the ground.
For the people who run toward trouble
Active first responders train for 10% less.
Every Saturday at 6:30 AM, AOE runs a free class for first responders — no membership, no catch. And any active first responder who joins the academy gets 10% off their monthly membership. In 2025 the Monterey Police Department recognized Chris for teaching jiu-jitsu to its officers; the discount and the free Saturday class are how he keeps saying thank you. Before you decide
The three questions everyone asks before they call.
- How much does jiu-jitsu cost at AOE in Monterey?
- Memberships run from $135 a month. Kids No-Gi jiu-jitsu starts at $135 and adults at $175, with a weekend-only kids plan, a youth-kickboxing option, and a bundle if your child wants both jiu-jitsu and kickboxing. Every plan starts with a free week — so you can try the room before a dollar changes hands.
- What happens after the free week?
- Nothing automatic. When your week is up, if you want to keep training, a coach walks you through the membership options in person and you pick what fits. Booking the trial costs nothing and there’s no commitment to start.
- Do I need a gi or any gear?
- No gi, and nothing to buy to get started. Adults and kids all train No-Gi, so a t-shirt and shorts (or any athletic wear) is all you need for your free week. If your child stays with it, we’ll point you toward comfortable No-Gi basics — but you’ll never be handed a required uniform bill at the door.

You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.” Leave your name, email, and number and the team will help set up your first class, or call us directly.
